MOVIES ANYWHERE

PRODUCTION DESIGNER | MARCH 2020 - JUNE 2023

Movies Anywhere is a digital movie locker that is partnered with Disney/Fox, Universal, WB and Sony for users to purchase and redeem their digital movies all in one place. I developed in-house campaign creative, brand assets and motion graphics for the Marketing team. I streamlined the entire production process, created multiple key art assets including heroes and billboards for the app. I also created social media assets, executed and managed app store optimization, custom colored movie detail pages, and communicated directly with all five major studios for approvals. I worked directly with the Senior Designer, Chris Sequeira and Design Manager, Nicole Chin.

Here are some highlights of my work as a Designer at Movies Anywhere, The Walt Disney Company.

MOVIES ANYWHERE BRAND ASSET

This slanted four character image represents our partnership with the studios, Disney/Fox, Sony, WB and Universal. We use this as our brand asset as well as social covers on Facebook and Twitter.

BOCO CAMPAIGN

BOCO, a buy one choose one offer and collaboration with all five studios for Movies Anywhere users. Our design team developed a multi-studio tile concept with dozens of individual key art tiles that shows the breadth of content with all of your movies together in one place.

IN-APP HEROES

One of my main responsibilities was creating heroes and billboards for the app. I pulled assets and title treatments from studio toolkits and resized the key art to fit within hero templates. I then picked a color gradient that is complimentary to the key art and placed the title treatment and copy. These assets live on the explore page and highlight new titles, screen pass, theatrical and preorder heroes.

EMAIL DESIGN

I created various emails that feature Watch Together and Screen Pass, movies for every mood and color inspired key art.

SOCIAL MEDIA

I create assets that mimic heroes for social posts to announce new movies that are now available within the Movies Anywhere app.
Screen Pass container IP animations live on Movies Anywhere socials and are created in Photoshop and then imported in After Effects for animating. Screen Pass is an in-app feature where you can share a digital movie from your locker with someone to watch for free for a limited time. I pulled key art for each title, placed the Screen Pass outline container around the IP and then edited each image to make the character pop out of the container. After, I work in After Effects to make the glow animation.
I created these social templates for Screen Pass to be able to highlight certain titles and have users interact with emojis. The pro tip template consistently gives tips and tricks to users on how to use Screen Pass. Finally, the Screen Pass round up shuffles through the top five most shared movies for the month.

HALLOWEEN

Social graphics that feature the Universal monster movies, a Happy Halloween animation (Illustration created by Chris Sequeira), and an orange themed box art template.
During the spooky season we refresh our brand asset to Halloween IP and update our social covers on Facebook and Twitter.
These instagram story templates reflect a this or that concept. I picked some fan favorites to go head to head in specific movie category, color, and matching emojis.
Screen Pass container IP updated to feature classic Universal monsters, Dracula, The Bride of Frankenstein, and Frankenstein.
What Halloween movie would you add template, Screen Pass container featuring Pennywise, and a pause GIF to see who will be haunting your dreams.

HOLIDAY

Social graphics that feature a Holiday movie debate, a Happy Holidays animation (Illustration created by Chris Sequeira), and a snow themed box art template.
During the snowy season we refresh our brand asset to Holiday IP and update our social covers on Facebook and Twitter.
This or that instagram story template and a movie word search (Illustration created by Chris Sequeira), holiday edition.

MOVIE DETAIL PAGE CUSTOM COLORING

I carefully select a custom color that is complementary to the key art for our movie detail pages and specific to each title.

DISNEY MOVIE INSIDERS

These Disney Movie Insider keys for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 were illustrated by our Senior Designer, Chris Sequiera. The raw files were delivered to me to add a subtle animation in after effects.

Disney Movie Insiders supported Hulu during their 15th anniversary celebration and requested banners to advertise their 3-Button Set reward. I created multiple sizes with the Disney Movie Insiders’ branding elements while also incorporating the logo and confetti theme that Hulu provided in their toolkit.

I collaborated with the Disney Movie Insiders team to create this print poster for anyone to be able to scan, sign up and redeem a Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 mystery digital poster. It was created in Illustrator and delivered in multiple formats ready for print production.
